Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)
ASEAN, was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration) by the Founding Fathers of ASEAN, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. The aims and purposes of ASEAN are about cooperation in the economic, social, cultural, technical, educational and other fields, and in the promotion of regional peace and stability through abiding respect for justice and the rule of law and adherence to the principles of the United Nations Charter.

AHA Center - ASEAN Coordination Center for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management
The AHA centre is established for the purpose of facilitating co-operation and co-ordination among the parties, and with relevant United Nations and international organizations, in promoting regional collaboration (AADMER article 20.1). The AHA Centre works on the basis that the Party will act first to manage and respond to disasters. In the event that the Party requires assistance to cope with such situation, in addition to direct request to any Assisting Entity, it may seek assistance from the AHA centre to facilitate such request (AADMER article 20.2).

Mekong River Commission
The Mekong River Commission (MRC) is the only inter-governmental agency that works directly with the governments of Cambodia, Lao PDR, Thailand and Viet Nam on their common specific interests—joint management of shared water resources and sustainable development of the Mekong River.As a regional facilitating and advisory body governed by water and environment ministers of the four countries, the MRC aims to ensure that the Mekong water is developed in the most efficient manner that mutually benefits all Member Countries and minimises harmful effects on people and the environment in the Lower Mekong Basin.

South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC)
SAARC is an organisation of South Asian countries, founded in December 1985 and dedicated to economic, technological, social, and cultural development emphasizing collective self-reliance. The 11 stated areas of cooperation are agriculture; education, culture, and sports; health, population, and child welfare; the environment and meteorology; rural development (including the SAARC Youth Volunteers Program); tourism; transport; science and technology; communications.

South Asian Disaster Knowledge Network
The South Asian Disaster Knowledge Network (SADKN) is a gateway to knowledge and information on disaster risk management in South Asia. Designed and developed by the SAARC Disaster Management Centre, New Delhi, the SADKN web portal will act as the common platform for sharing knowledge and information among the multiple stakeholders of the member countries of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) on the multi-disciplinary and multi-sectoral issues of disaster risk assessment, risk prevention, mitigation and preparedness and disaster response, relief, recovery and reconstruction.

Applied Geoscience and Technology Division (SOPAC)
SOPAC is new and part of the Secretariat of the Pacific Communities (SPC) and began operation on 1 January 2011. The mission of the SPC is "to help Pacific island people position themselves to respond effectively to the challenges they face and make informed decisions about their future and the future they wish to leave for the generations that follow."
The goal of the Applied Geoscience and Technology Division is to apply geoscience and technology to realise new opportunities for improving the livelihoods of Pacific communities.

Pacific Disaster Net
The Pacific Disaster Net is the Virtual Centre of Excellence for Disaster Risk Management in the Pacific Region. The Web Portal and Database System is designed to be the largest and most comprehensive information resource for Disaster Risk Management for the Pacific Island Countries. It is a living collection and growing DRM information resource for actors and stakeholders to research and collaborate and improve Information and Knowledge Management. It also supports National Action Planning, Decision Making and provides in-country information for distribution within the region.
